Making Bobcat Files For Your iPod
The Daniel Hertz Model 1 USB DAC can be connected to a CDR (CD Recorder) via the stereo RCA connectors on the back panel or the stereo mini headphone jack. If the headphone jack is used, the headphone volume control should be turned up to maximum level for this application.
You will need a pair of RCA cables if you use the RCA jacks, or a stereo mini to RCA jack if you use the headphone jack.
Connect the DAC output (RCA or stereo mini) to the analog inputs of a CD Recorder such as the Tascam CD-RW750 Standalone CD Recorder. Adjust the volume on the CD-RW750 for proper volume level, and follow the instructions of the Tascam to make the recording in real time. The benefits of Burwen Bobcat Suite will remain intact in the new CD.
You can then rip the files from the new CD into Windows Media Player on your computer. The files can then be downloaded to an iPod or MP3 portable, stored on any device capable of accepting the file, or e-mailed to someone.
Be sure to label the Bobcat CD or the new Bobcat file in your computer
so that you wont put it through Bobcat again. You can use the
No Bobcat or BYPASS mode to play a file that is already Bobcat-processed.
Adding a BB to the file name is one way to identify that it has
been Bobcat-processed. If a Big Bobcat setting has been used, you can
note it by adding B3 for Basic 3, V2 for Vocal 2, etc.
